List of Foods with Anti-inflamatory Properties

Foods For Arthritis and Achy Joints

My interest in this topic is twofold, first I suffer from arthritis, and sometimes it can be very painful and debilitating; secondly I am responding to a request posted in a comment given on the website.

Believe it or not, there are foods that can make your joint pains worse, as the wise would say –food is your best medicine; it can also be your worse nightmare.

I am now convinced that there is a menu of foods for good health, regardless of the ailment or condition; When on look at the foods for specific conditions, you will find the same foods listed for other conditions.

Eat from the menu for maximum health.

The Worst Foods for Arthritis and Joint Pain

1. Gluten -Bagels, Muffins, Pasta

2. French fries and processed fast foods

3. Blackened and barbecued foods-foods cooked at high temperature

4. Sugar

5. Nightshade vegetables

Tomatoes.

Potatoes

Eggplant

Tobacco

Peppers

I am somewhat puzzled about consuming nightshade vegetables. There were part of my plant- based diet, and I am partial to tomatoes and hot peppers.

My suggestion for victims of arthritis would be to conduct your own trials, eat them for a month and measure your pain, then avoid them for another month and make your decision, if there was any difference in pain.

Steve Hefferson a Health and Fitness expert, has promoted a supplement-Heal-n-Soothe that he claims can combat your eating these vegetables. I have no experience of using this product and would recommend researching reviews by people who have used Heal-n-Soothe.

Fibrin and inflammation is said to be the root cause of arthritis

An insoluble protein formed from fibrinogen during the clotting of blood. It forms a fibrous mesh that impedes the flow of blood.

Fibrin is a fibrous, non-globular protein involved in the clotting of blood. It is formed by the action of the protease thrombin on fibrinogen which causes it t polymerize.-(Wikipedia)

Fibrin is a tough protein substance that is arranged in long fibrous chains; it is formed from fibrinogen, a soluble protein that is produced by the liver and found in blood plasma. When tissue damage results in bleeding, fibrinogen is converted at the wound into fibrin by the action of thrombin, a clotting enzyme-(Britannica.com)
