Cauliflower should be a must on your list of calciferous vegetables, normally only the white flesh of the head is eaten; my preference is steamed and covered with olive oil. It originated in the Northeast Mediterranean, possibly modern day Turkey; there are historical references of the plant dating back to the 1st century AD.

I have grown many vegetables as a kid growing up in Barbados, but I cannot remember cauliflower being among them. On looking through a list of Caribbean Agri Business, cauliflower is nowhere to be seen. Cauliflower likes cool temperatures

China is the largest producer of Broccoli and cauliflower; commercial cauliflower is grown in the coastal valleys of California, other countries where cauliflower is grown are China, India, Spain, Mexico, Italy, France, USA, Poland, Pakistan, Egypt, Bangladesh, Japan, Turkey, UK, Germany, Indonesia, Algeria, Vietnam, Belgium, Taiwan, Greece, Ecuador, Guatemala, Jordan, Australia.

Research has been going on in the Caribbean to produce Broccoli and cauliflower with the help of some engineering with the seeds, to cope with the warmer climate.The research is being conducted by CARDI (Caribbean Argricultue Research & Development Institute)

The internet is full of wonderful recipes or consuming cauliflower; has a list of 50 recipes, which demonstrates the versatility of vegetable.

Cauliflower is full of nutrients, it can help reduce the rick of cancer and heart disease, along with several other diseases; it is also helpful with weigh loss. Cauliflower is credited with containing some of almost every mineral and vitamin the body needs.

This is really a great post. I completely agree that brain should be trained as each part of the body.
From my experience, I can say that if untrained – the brain tend to degrade. I noticed it while being at home with my little baby – for nearly 2 years I just was at home with him and satisfying all his needs without thinking about mine. So when I returned back to work, I noticed that tasks that seemed easy to me before leaving for maternity leave seem more difficult now and requires longer time to figure them out – after 2 years of letting my brain to rest 🙂 Without doubt, after some time it went back to normal but the first month was quite surprising to me.

I did not know that having a plant-based diet helps for that. I already started having more plant based diet. I think I should start right away. I wonder which food you recommend. Are there any particular foods better than the others? If you have a guide, I will really appreciate a link to it : )

Exercising your brain as well as your body makes sense. Doing brain exercises is enjoyable, and keeping mentally as well as physically active is important. I love doing all types of crossword and scrabble type puzzles, but this probably only develops one part of the brain.
Which part of the brain does your exercise work? How many times should it be carried out?

It makes sense that it’s just as important to exercise your brain as it is to exercise your body. Just like it’s important to feed your brain, not just your body.
I’d love to see more of your brain exercises. Though I’m a little confused as to how this exercise works and is supposed to be performed.

These are great exercises. I think the advice that adopting a plant based diet can be improved upon. After all, corn syrup and wheat are plant based, but are very inflammatory once they are in the body.
Doing these exercises will help to improve your mental acuity. I personally enjoy doing word puzzles and crosswords.
