Arthritis comes with aging; few of us will escape the pain it causes; but as I am discovering from my research that the food we consume on a daily basis can be our best and most affordable medicine.

The more research I conduct the more I am finding out that you can prepare a menu that will cover most ailments with few exceptions.

Sugar. Bagels. Muffins. Pasta, Blackened and Barbequed foods, French fries and other processed foods. Potatoes,

Tomatoes. Egg plants; only if you have a problem with arthritis.

  1. This is a great list of foods to eat to avoid arthritis and I think also just to maintain a healthier lifestyle in general too.
    It’s so sad that our food industry has been hijacked and the pursuit of money and profit is made over the expense of the general health population.
    It’s interesting to see that some foods to avoid are from the deadly nightshade plant family, like potatoes, tomatoes and aubergines. Is it best to avoid all foods that are part of this family? Thanks


  2. Thanks for your comments; It sounds like you are familiar with health education; I wouldn’t go so far as to call them deady,I suppose it depends on your health condition; We have gone overboard with human rights, when we allow the manufacturing of unhealthy foods.


  3. I really appreciate your post. Reducing inflammation in the body starts with the gut. I would classify your avoid foods in two categories – refined carbs and nightshades. The nightshade family can be extremely inflammatory to the body and it includes tomatoes, peppers, eggplant and potatos. My favorite anti-inflammatory is tumeric. I supplement with it every day.

Thanks for your comments, we share one love in common -turmeric- I love tomatoes so that one is tough for me to avoid; I have a friend that grows the sweetest tomatoes in the world-like candies bud sadly I am trrying to stay away from them, because of my arthritis.My wife bought some yesterday i have to look and look off.
